Levi Vincent

Levi Vincent joined us in 2009, spending his weekends and summers as a production potter at OIP, while working on his degree at WWU. Luckily for us, he has stayed with us long after finishing his degree, and continues to make pottery part-time while raising his two daughters in Bellingham, WA.

Levi produces graceful, functional forms in everything from mugs and bowls to large lidded jars. His work combines with Syd’s beautiful glazing to become the treasures that will someday be heirlooms. Levi brings up bisqueware in big batches for Syd to glaze, and occasionally we also have some of his imaginative and fantastic porcelain work as well.

“I consider myself lucky to be able to make objects people use in everyday life. There is a certain “something” in a handmade object that is lacking in commercial ware. With this in mind, I try to make pottery that functions well for its intended purpose, yet is still pleasing to the eye.”
