Ryan Lawless

Ryan Lawless arrived at Orcas Island Pottery in 2003 from Rippon, Wisconsin with two years of production potting under his belt and a wealth of creative ideas and energy! He soon became one of our most prolific production potters while at the same time pursuing his artistic interests.

His wide ranging experience and his zest for life at every level, are communicated through his playful and thought provoking art as well as his fluid and organic, yet classically balanced functional work. Together with Syd Exton (as the glazing wizard), Ryan’s work supports the classic Orcas Island Pottery ware and some flights of fancy of his own.
