Luke Bronn

Luke Bronn grew up on Orcas Island making art whenever and however he could. At eight years old, he and his mom started taking pottery classes with Trudy Erwin. Trudy hired him at age thirteen to become her summer pottery teaching assistant at The Right Place Pottery. He continued taking throwing classes whenever available, and also began to learn glazing from Syd Exton, at Orcas Island Pottery. He then went off to get some college level pottery experience at Whitworth and Alfred universities. Now he uses Erwin Blue, a custom clay body that Trudy used to use, and focuses on functional vessel work. He loves the idea of beautiful pieces of art that you can use in your everyday life. Luke has returned to the island and dove back into the Orcas Island Pottery world, this time as a part of the team.
